Home Safety Evaluation
- Up to 90 minute home evaluation and follow-up visit after changes are made
- Review of medical history, equipment available, and current areas of difficulty during daily activities
- Education and alternative strategies for completing necessary tasks
- Individualized electronic report with recommended equipment and home modifications based on client's specific needs
Client/Caregiver Training
- 60 minutes or greater
- Available once Home Safety Evaluation has been completed by AccessibilOT
- Further education on safe setup and proper use of recommended equipment
- Individualized training with client, family, or other caregivers on specific areas of need (Ex. tub transfers, dressing, medication management etc.)
Fall Prevention & Floor Recovery Training
- 60 minutes or greater
- For people who feel limited by a fear of falling, decreased balance, or have difficulty getting on and off the floor safely
- Includes brief assessment of the home and medical history, followed by problem solving, training on alternative strategies for floor transfers, personalized exercise plan, and potential equipment or device recommendations
Thrive Training
- 60 minutes or greater
- For people who are overall independent but still having difficulty with up to 3 (per session) particular daily activities, such as laundry, leisure activities, cooking, etc.
- Includes observation of troublesome tasks followed by training on alternative strategies or equipment recommendations for improved performance
"Forever Home" Consulting
- Education and guidance on essential accessibility features, for people doing a large home renovation or building a new home, with the ultimate goal of aging in place
